  1. I haven't seen the new movie yet (I don't do subscription services!) but I have read the book. First time I read it was in 2018 after getting into fantasy novels and looking for something similar to ASOIAF in my local library and DUNE was highly recommended by my friends. I LOVED IT! I enjoyed it so much I also bought the prequel books recently. One thing that confuses me is why so many people say that the story is difficult to adapt to a movie. The plot is very well structured and the world building is not very convoluted. It is honestly one of the easier sci-fi/fantasy books to adapt into a movie or even TV.

  2. Lucas era Star Wars truly had it all. Great world building, amazing lore, and great characterization. Sad none of this is even remotely present in disney star wars.
