  1. As a black person who actually loves fantasy and has read LOTR and the hobbit, I hate this tokenism. They could have easily used the Haradrim characters (a race of black people who are warriors, pirates, merchants and sailors) that Tolkien created in the amazon show if they wanted more racial diversity but I guess race-swapping dwarves, elves and hobbits is more appropriate........Just more insulting tokenism and mockery to actual black people who like fantasy and all it does is inspire more vitriol towards genuinely good diverse characters.

  2.  @drugsarebad97  Sadly, their intentions are much worse. They have no desire to make POCs look like a majority. It is all for more tokenism. The black elf in their show is literally a deadbeat dad stereotype who "fell in love" with a white human female and left her and her child.
