Comments by "Michelle" (@xwrtk) on "Men's Rights vs Feminism: Is Toxic Masculinity Real? | Middle Ground" video.
@jalenmills113 Yes. It is very clear with someone like Derrick. Toxic masculinity can be big amongst men in the disability community especially when my friend in a wheelchair faces it daily.

Both men and women built this world. Native Americans didn’t discriminate against sex in terms of building stuff.
4
@davidk713 Wrong. People regardless of gender did that. Natives had leaders who were women too. Women have secretly fought in the civil war, revolutionary war, etc. Women supplied the troops with weapons, medical, and just about everything during the revolutionary war.

Bea made some great points. Points that my male friends have faced.

Yes. He’s has believed that for a long time even when men have asked.
3
Even in classes with almost all girls and there’s a group project involved. Some teachers/professors will be like why don’t you boys work together. A guy could have a female friend in the class. My male friend was once assigned group mates for an project in his education class and it was all the boys in the class lumped together. He plans to become a teacher so his classes are predominantly female. But hey the education building has the cleanest male bathrooms.

Bea was good though. She spoke on toxic masculinity issues that my male friends face.

Derrick was very serious and not his first jubilee video.

Women don’t have more rights than men. Women have been denied medication specifically mainly used by woman and even denied healthcare treatment specifically towards women. Men don’t have to worry about whether or not they can get birth control. Women are more likely to be abused.

@davidk713 A house. It was house built by both men and women. I saw it being built a few times in person. A women was leading and supervising all the workers when my house was built as she told us. Same with the houses that my neighbors who I’m close with, they had both men and women building it. Any new roads around me within the past few years have been built by both men and women as I’ve seen it with my eyes. My car type itself was worked on by men and women as I was told by the salesman.

Feminists have helped men in different ways. A domestic violence shelter for men was created with the help of feminists.

There will be a video soon this year. They posted to the newsletter. Male feminist vs non-feminist.

Court rights was one thing that they seem to mention. Almost all court seems in terms of my divorce friends were parents share custody. My cousin hasn’t seen his dad for years as doesn’t care and my friend doesn’t see her dad as doesn’t care. My friends who are sisters got their dad to get full custody over their mom. Definitely not the rights for men to be feminine if they want, men to cry, men to be weak, etc. Some men aren’t strong and that’s okay.

At the jubilee studio. Real people who’ve been on the channel have mentioned.
1
That is how he truly is. His YouTube channel says so. He really wanted to be in the video so they let him.

Traditional gender roles would mean woman at home and not working while men were the bread winner, guys shouldn’t be dancing as it’s feminine, no girls in sports, guys not crying unless it’s a funeral of a loved one, etc. Its good to dismantle gender roles especially women should be able to work.

They do exist just uncommon. In a video where kids got meet a midwife, a boy asked are men are called mid husbands. The lady said no and they are still called midwives.

They choose from whoever wants to participate.

Anyone should be allowed to interrupt Derrick no matter what side they are on,

He choose to be apart of the video just like everyone else.

I know real instances of where wage gap can’t be debunked besides Hollywood. My dad makes more than my mom doing the same engineering job. It’s hard to tell who is better as neither have gotten a D or F on any production. Hours don’t matter but they expect you to reach over 35 hours and not work too over 40 years unless you want overtime. It’s all about meeting the production minimum per every two weeks. My has worked with them 3 years longer than my dad. Most of her friends are here and she’s not going to complain since she makes over 100k already. This the only job she has not counting retail in college.

@driller6801 Same everything besides art unit as she came in earlier than my dad. They both never asked for a raise because they make a good salary. They both took the same amount of OT as my dad has all of his family in Vietnam. My dad had to take off work take my sister to school and pick her up while she was in high school and middle school. OT only ever happens shortly before heading to Vietnam. We don’t go every year to save money.
1
@driller6801 It’s not very rare. I know other instances not Hollywood but not down to every little detail.
1
@driller6801 They changed it 93 cents to $1 for many companies but 75-77cents to a dollar still applies to Hollywood plus a very few companies. I’ve spoken with people who work with career services and one of the many reasons is because men are more likely to ask for a higher wages than women (Both sexes mentioned). Then the obvious reason that some companies want to flat out discriminate.

My dad makes more than my mom doing the same engineering job. It’s hard to tell who is better as neither have gotten a D or F on production. My parents always meet minimum production every two weeks. My mom never took off for child besides when both for child births at hospital. My dad did way more childcare as he had to take my sister to and from school. It’s only a small difference and most of my mom’s friends work here.
1
Not even here. Women have been denied birth control by pharmacists, denied easy to access to basic healthcare, etc. We’ve had women had to travel kinda far just give birth in a hospital.
1
Yes. My cousin was in coed scouts and they all learned the same thing. Somethings were just separated by age group.

Toxic femininity is discussed daily. They just don’t call it that. Many just view it as more traditional values being shoved into people. It was mentioned during a super bowl commercial. Allowing females to be in more traditionally masc roles or masc fields of study. Even with sports.
