  1. People slowing down on on-ramps makes me crazy. I remember one time i almost died getting onto an 85 mph freeway in montana. The car in front of me was making good progress, and had no traffic to worry about. So i checked my mirror and apparently as i began to look over my shoulder to check my blindspot, the car in front of me braked hard. Luckily i had a passenger yell my name immediately and i was able to properly react to the now nearly stopped car. To this day i have no idea why he braked (and so hard!) on that ramp. Literally could have been the end of my life. Im trying to get up to 85, i was probably at 65 with four or five seconds to the merge point, and he just stood on his brakes. Wild. I can see it in my mind's eye still, that moment when i whipped my head back around to see a functionally stopped car just before the merge point. There was not traffic coming he had any reason to be concerned about. God, it scared me. Thats one of those things I have no control over. There was no reason for him to stop! Ugh, i clearly still get worked up just thinking about it.

  2. Sounds like my dad. I couldn't get out of a right turn at a light because of the ice on the ground and I just wasn't smooth enough to get traction. God, I remember that nightmare moment to this day.. eventually had to let Dad be the driver because my psyche was completely shot with anxiety from him screaming at me while the cars behind honked at me to go.
