  2.  @marydlutes1792  They don’t claim to know… they believe. They realize that expecting an all powerful deity to knock on their door and introduce himself, to prove his existence, is the definition of absurd. Why would he do that? Lol I will give atheists some credit for choosing a position, unlike the fence sitting agnostics.
