  1.  @pv3Hpv3p  DeNiro is a shining example of being far more likable when he was somewhat “reclusive”, and rarely did interviews, letting the audience just see him as Travis Bickle, Jake Lamotta, and Jimmy Conway. That is the only connection we need to an actor. We don’t want to meet the insufferable bore.

  9. There was a time when we knew “nothing” of the lives of movie stars. That was as it should be. Cruise, the last true movie star, has stated that the mystery is important. I didn’t care about the lives of Brando, Mitchum, and Newman, other opinions. I only cared about the “films”, the entertainment they provided me. The only connection necessary was the viewer, and the screen.
