It's totally up to you. 2. Sideloading is only a security risk if you have no idea what you're doing. Downloading Telegram from the official website for example or using F-droid downloaded from the official source is 100% safe and poses no security threat whatsoever. 3. Only a small minority of all users on Android uses sideloading and these people also tend to be more tech savvy in general, which means that they usually know what they're doing. Most people on Android never sideload anything. So this is definitely not a big security risk on Android phones. The argument is invalid. 4. Yes, locking down the system makes it more secure, so why not lock down the system 100%, so people can't even use it anymore? That would make it 100% secure, right? But obviously that wouldn't work, because it's about the balance between security and freedom and Apple has lost that balance long time ago. Primarily because they're too greedy and simply don't give a crap about their users. All they care about is themselves.
