Mr. Waters needs to focus on the OnStar evidence, the steps, the SnapChat video, the blue tarp, the missing clothing/weapons, the murder/suicide for hire plot, and the dogs not going crazy since no one else was around but Maggie, Paul and Alex. This is a cold, hard place for kind people when there is no respect for the living. My heart goes out to the caring part of Lori’s family, homicide detectives, LE, the judge and the state.

  14. Stephen Smith’s shoes on is odd, at a minimum. I don’t understand why doing autopsies in South Carolina isn’t mandatory as it is in my state, California. Unless under hospice care, those that pass on receive an autopsy. There wasn’t one on Stephen Smith or on Gloria Satterfield. That in itself is suspicious.

  19. I heard the jailhouse phone calls and I never got the impression that Buster wants to return to law school. His father wants Buster desperately to return to law school, that’s true. I listened to Buster’s responses and he was detached and not interested. I hope Buster doesn’t harm himself. I know in the court of public opinion, Buster is seen with disgust but unless he is indicted for Stephen Smith’s killing, I will continue to send him comfort.

Buster is blamed for Stephen Smith’s death in the court of public opinion. No evidence just gossip. I believe Buster is a victim, his immediate family is gone. He should be allowed to grieve.

  35. I agree Buster must be in agony. He is closed off emotionally so I hope he has his gf or another friend he can be open with. Buster is not on trial for Stephen Smith. If there is evidence linking him to Mr. Smith’s terrible death, then he will be indicted. He testified that Paul often took his ID when he buy booze. Don’t know if that was a lie or not. Buster lost his mother and only sibling. It’s tragic. Let him grieve for now having no immediate family. His father is a monster..

  37. @John Brooks This was a circumstances case as the two firearms used haven’t been found; Alex’s clothes worn the night of the murders hasn’t been found. The firearms used were the Murdaugh’s. What convicted him was his lies about his presence at the kennels, the OnStar evidence, the steps taken, his proven financial crimes tied to his desperation and his alleged drug addiction. The jury may state their reasoning which may differ from my own.

  44. Kohberger isn’t convicted yet. He is innocent until proven guilty. While I personally believe he is guilty, many ppl are unjustly arrested and are innocent. Until convicted, treating people in jail with decency is appropriate.

  47. @John Brooks I agree about Buster. We don’t know the truth about whether he was involved in the killing of Stephen Smith. I find Buster to be in agony on the inside. He is stoic on the outside. Public opinion has him tried and convicted. Had Buster sobbed and howled in court, perhaps public opinion would change. I see a rudderless young man. He is guilty by association and that is wrong. I have compassion for Buster.
