I actually find the legal entitlements that come with marriage scary, you're giving another human being, that you have only known a short time, a lot of power over your life, literally putting your life in their hands. But people don't look at the reality of what a legal marriage actual is, they just see the romantic fairytale vision they've seen and read about.
