@Arexion5293 the only consequences that are applied to speech (other than a few exemptions) are civil penalties for libel and slander (things that are said that cost someone money either true or untrue) Exemptions are things like speech that insights violence or panic in a reasonable person such as yelling fire in a crowded building or bomb in an airport

@lLenn2 no an employer terminating you because of a joke would be retaliatory termination if you can prove it in court you can seek civic penalties from the employer Unless the joke is made at work/costs someone money such as your employer or insights violences
