It’s not totally because of propaganda all people prefer things that are “normal” things that are not “normal” is scary or confusing it requires mental effort to return to a comfortable mental equilibrium when confronted with something that we don’t see as normal that’s why the propaganda works it tells them that stopping at a child’s level of understanding is acceptable
