  1. The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. That would be the citizens of this country. I suppose the ones fighting against McCarthy's nomination may have a reason for doing it, but why are they not telling everyone what it is? We need to get on with the business of actually working instead of sitting around with rhetoric and silence in fixing the many many problems this country faces instead of handing the speakership back to the Democrats where nothing will be done to stop at least some of this corruption. They are getting paid to work not continually arguing stupid points. Haven't we had enough of what has happened in the past 6 years? Let's get on with it and discuss it, but pick a speaker before it is too late. First, it was five, then it was eight, and now it's 20 against a nomination? What Newt Gingrich said at the end is correct; if they keep holding this up their constituents will likely vote them out the next time and they are signing their own resignations. I don't endorse any single candidate for the speaker, but if they have to vote for a certain number to be reached instead of a majority, let's get on with it!
