@HellsYeah8 The farmers still farm the land. They are leasing the land, not selling it. There are many crops that are planted around Wind Towers. Solar, unless raised off the ground, blocks the use of the land. Contracts are with power companies for the transmission, so if for instance, Dominion Power has the power lines in N.C. and VA., Dominion controls the transmission of contracted output. They don't care whether it is produced in N.C. or VA., it can still provide power thousands of miles from a single point. They are charging for it based on end-user consumption. Power can be subcontracted to be used locally within a range of what you say is the limited distance, but those who pay for it as consumers are reimbursing the power company for transmission and the end-user who contracts for it is compensated for what they use locally whether it is across a state or state lines. Dominion owns 90% of all power lines on the Eastern Seaboard and they transmit across invisible State lines. Ever hear of sub-stations?

@HellsYeah8 Not true. Power is contracted for by corporations and special interests. They don't call it "The Grid" for nothing. Sub-stations can be located anywhere to direct the power and they are often near the borders of states. If a business needs power and is willing to create the foundation for it (Nuclear, Solar, Wind, Hydro) then it can invest in it, no matter where it is Amazon contracts and builds Wind Farms in N.C. that power their facilities (warehouses) in VA. - The government builds nothing. Most of the bridges and tunnels in VA., for instance, were paid for by millionaires who needed one to get to where they wanted to go and the State collects tolls to reimburse the financier. They are all contracts with the State or Federal agencies dependent on who controls the connecting roads that lead to that Bridge or Tunnel.

@HellsYeah8 You start with an insult, and you end with one. So I guess what is good for the Goose is good for you. You are illogical. Your facts are BS. That is why you made the first and last part of your otherwise droll comments and decided to make degrading remarks on states you have no knowledge of. This is what people do when they have no truth to back them. This, by the way, is not Kazakhstan. So I would guess from your logic that someone living in the desert 301 miles from a power station would not be able to receive electricity? It appears Kazakhstan is where you are from, or do you even know where you are? It may your problem is radioactive poisoning because many areas of the country, which you so easily mentioned are radioactive or toxic due to a history of Soviet arms testing. Too bad that your brain damage from radioactive exposure is too far gone to even listen to you any longer. Get help.
