  1. The FED is actually the larger banks that collects the interest being borrowed by the government. You need to distinguish the two as separate entities. The FED is a term to indicate the FEDERAL RESERVE, and they print the money so they can collect interest. If the government were to declare bankruptcy, those banks would fail considering the debt they are financing. The country technically is bankrupt.

  2. The floor is empty because the truth is hurtful to the corrupted Congress. David Schweikert is saying everything that should be done, and no one wants to listen unless it lines their pockets with cash. Corruption in D.C. is rampant and it will never stop until people, as he said, are held accountable.
