planned obsolescence amigo..

@erenkaslte8046 mercedes charges 250dollars for a 25cents plastic dashboard switch...hehehe

amazing developments into a simple 4 cylinder engine with 400hp...endless money pit if they start to fail however...
5
high pressure boost = means shorter service life of an engine = endless mone pits
3
it becomes an endless money pit after 80,000 mi maybe, but then again mercedes brand are for deep pocket cats

@campkira many buying them are already growing money on trees hehehe

at the end of the day it is all about making engines that can run and sustain the tremendous pressures forced induction can throw at it
2
we already getting 200hp from 1litre engines on bikes, if only more driving cats looked up on motorcycling news...they can get power by simply making them rev super high rpm without forced induction

@essaarif7941 F1 would be a bad comparison.. its unfavorably V8 or 10 not a 4 cylinder bike engine..if bikes had been given V8 engine it would probably take off and fly!

@essaarif7941 nope im not talking about niche unique superbikes of concept fitted with endless potential money pit techologies.. lets talk about the basic race bikes (road legal not GP) from Suzuki gsxr1000 with a 4 cylinder 165hp bike, or the BMW S1000 4 banger with i think makes about 175hp, theyre not UFO technologies out of this world..they're not even forced induce! if they had turbo's they'd gladly fly airborne too! - of course i ride an old school 1200cc air cooled Suzuki with only about 90hp..but we're not comparing this!!

@essaarif7941 we accomplished more than 100hp per litre naturally aspirated eons ago!

honda cats make their engines powerful by making them super high revving instead of relying on forced induction compressors
