@MUSICLOVER23429 The thing about game of thrones ending the way it did is it totally screwed up ever wanting to watch it again. I was wanting to get other people into the show and buy the box set but as soon as I saw it I thought "well no one's gonna buy this show now. There goes all their merch and everything else they'd have made a ton on" (I never checked it's impact), and tossed their greatest show ever label in the trash. Every scene with Dany is now tainted and she's one of the stars through its entirety, and she's not the only one that's tainted. And every kid with her name...well that sucks.
Season 5 had problems, there was a shift, but at least season 7 felt positive. I mean things were coming together, everyone was falling in love. Then season 8 was the messy divorce. With each episode it got worse but even right to the very last episode it could have turned it around. Then they say screw that and shit on the audience by putting out fire with gasoline. Basically imo the best thing to do is watch till season 7 and come up with your own ending or more simply watch until the last episode right before Dany goes apeshit, stop the show, and sit down and write out an ending. I had to write an ending to get the show out of my head. It took only 30 minutes and worked out well.
I sorta did that with Lost as well. That show, I guess because of the writers strike, is all over the place and ends in disappointment. Dexter flat out gave up with it's ending too and Hell on Wheels slogged on till their bad ending. AMC does that. Some shows seem like they put all their eggs in the basket to last a season and then just ran out of material for a second. Hell on Wheels, TWD, Lost, a lot of shows did that. They didn't know how to last two seasons or couldn't figure out how to tie things up in a bow. Some people hate on BSG's ending but I think it's great. Vikings totally turned everything around and wrapped up their show nicely. I think they learned what not to do from GOT. Or they learned that they better not do what GOT did.

Why are they so dumb and interested in ruining everything? I just don't get it. They can't even hire an attractive lead anymore. Almost every lead in a film or TV series now is hard to look at. Yeah, that may sound harsh, but movies are a place to escape and TV's are windows and I don't want to stare out a window with an ugly view. If you want something to have a chance at success then you need some attractive-magnetic-alluring-charismatic actors.
Just from watching the movie trailer I see an 80 year old riding horseback, racing, skydiving, I mean what the hell kind of franchise is this now? He's old, WE ALL KNOW IT. He's supposed to be an old guy making discoveries, using wisdom, cracking ancient history codes, escaping tight spots on occasion. It's like a giant Viagra commercial. You're past your youth, it's OKAY. They shoulda brought Shia back and done it right this time, and maybe had Short Round in it to help out. Imagine those two fighting for Indy's affection. Haha.
Anyway, it looks CGI as hell, more than the last film, more than The Mummy..why the F would I watch it? I want Adeventures and Epics and Westerns to come back. Enough of this comic book Transformer or Star Wars BS. Why do people keep eating that crap up..?
