  1. The real problem is rent control. Rent goes up when wags go up. The market controls prices but this is a hamsters wheel. The higher the wages the more rent can be charged. Increasing minimum wage is on a temp fix that lasts maybe 6 months to a year. By this time next year, we’ll be right back at square one.
