So, give the veteran an ultimatum to move out any belongs before demolition. Seems someone is doing a rush job. I’ve seen buildings and ho,e in bad shape and rebuilt. It’s a major job but it ban be done if they have the money.

@y5tt76f They were fighting it for 9 months but didn’t get an ultimatum. When I was in California and recently moved by to my hometown, there were notices given and there were no questions when something was going to torn down. You just don’t get up one day and decide I’m going to demolish a house today. Communication is the key word here. Perhaps the city did it to prevent a legal stay on the order and it maybe a fruitless effort but that’s their right.

But they do owe her a deadline to remove items before demolition. That’s why it’s a news story. It’s also the memories money can’t replace. I inherited my childhood home of 60 years with all the furniture I had as a child. A regular time capsule from the 1960s.
