  2. Balwin denying he pulled the trigger depends on the weapon and whether it was cocked or jammed somehow. Balwin is right that even if he did pull the trigger to get into character, NO LIVE ROUNDS SHOULD HAVE BEEN ON THE SET. Doesn't matter whether it was in the script. If that's the case then the weapon should have been EMPTY. Whether Balwin is lying about trigger pull or not only he can tell. Some reprise memories of horrible events so he may still be in denial. The armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed HAS to be charged for mishandling the weapons. She took weapons, meant for the set, out for target practice and didn't dry-barrel clear them after use. Better, she should have used other weapons for target practice... Baldwin can only be charged on the level of executive producer along with the director (who was also shot but that doesn't absolve him of blame.) It's like the Joker giving a toy gun to someone and it turns out to be a real one. The person was tricked into pulling the trigger and not killing anyone. Case in point, when looking head-on into the camera like the audience is being shot at is a good effect. In the military, we fire "red eye" blanks at each other during war games. In no way are we intending to kill the person we're shooting at. An actor isn't expected to really know how to handle a weapon of any kind, with some exceptions for realism like John Wick.
