  1. The term UFO has become so tainted that people will tease believers. "U-A-Fool" for believing UFOs.😆 I remember back in the late 1970s, UFO magazines would publish schematics for building your own personal UFO detector. Basically, it detected magnetic fields and always kept it in the back of my mind to actually build one to see how it performed. I lived through two UFO crazes in 1973 and right after Close Encounters of the Third Kind came out. The fantastic amount of fiction these UFO magazines pushed out along with hoaxes forever ruined any chance of anyone taking UFO/UEP.
