  1. I've travel cross country and I can say you can't get far on $20. Might as well leaving him out in the desert with no water to die. Food and gas is difficult especially in a desert region like Nevada. You don't want to be stuck in Arizona in +100°F weather out of gas on the long road to nowhere.

  2. Having served in the Marines for 10 years, I can say it's a hard life. The culture itself is on the cusps of being a cult for good reason. It's like the NFL. You're only as good as your last PFT and Pros/Cons. Get injured or stray from the Corps' standards and you're cut and not allowed to reenlist. I stopped carrying any cash above $30 (tips, meters, etc). I make all my payments by card or phone.
