  1. Small town cops are not very smart and will escalate fen minor things. I witnessed it first hand with a very minor accident that only cracked a headlamp. Four police cars came racing with lights and sirens. They then tried intimidating me with citation and being a Marine told them you didn’t witness anything to write it and the other driver left so you’ll have to follow through and charge them with leaving the scene of an accident. That got dropped in a hurry because it was the cop’s mother and she didn’t have insurance. The days of honest folks like Mayberry are gone. It’s all about power and control.
