Add to the cost of electric cars is battery replacement and disposal. The batteries can only be recharged so many times. What’s the replacement maintenance cost for hydrogen? Maybe a hybrid hydrogen electric car?

FORTRAN IV - my first language is on an IBM 360/30. 1978 😊

Too bad Boeing's insane engineering is overshadowed by their even more insane manufacturing and quality control. Boeing's name and reputation aren't the best in the public's eye at the moment.

We’re too busy banning plastic straws and bags and calling it a day. Anything put into the ocean will be met with heavy resistance. Any project will be tied ups with years of red tape and environmental impact studies. As we contemplate the problem, the clock is ticking and the harder the problem will be to solve.⏱⌛️

I remember a shield being deployed in The Highlander 2. It was a depressing dark sky. It saved the planet but the population was mentally depress.

Ironic, the Carolina state government is in denial regarding climate change and now their residents are going to pay a terrible price. I wish those in Florence path to be safe.

11:08 I was yelling at the screen Tesla Valve...🤣

Real life chem-trails. Maybe trading one problem for another like Agent Orange.

US and USSR cluttered the skies during the space race. Both should pay the clean up cost. UN Super Space Fund....

@theuncalledfor Not all movies are accurate but they have provided thought and inspiration. There may be some truth to emotional impact. Just saying, there will be a social impact. We know some are affected by sunless winters and how happy people feel the first day of summer. Sci-fi is good at getting us to think about things before they come true like Demolition Man, Star Trek, or 1984.

India either learned nothing from what China did in 2007 or doesn’t care. I’m afraid there are other countries with similar attitudes. People with Masters and Doctorate degrees can also make stupid decisions. Hard to believe India knowing went through with this test knowing the outcome. China, at least, had some excuse since it’s a communist state where people can be harshly punished for not participating.

Need to work how the Sahara Forrest became the Desert. Work backwards. The desert has been here long before industrial revolution. If we can't terraform the desert forget terraforming planets.

Liberia was settled by former US slaves after the Civil War which is why the flags are similar.

If you started out learning the metric system first then you will be heavily bias against the Imperial system and vice versa. Americans know the relationships with pounds and ounces etc since grade school. Except for the sell of soda, it's just not necessary to know metric living in America. 🇺🇸

Seems this story about Concorde keeps coming up on my feeds monthly. Noise, capacity, sonic boom issues and operating costs doomed the plane. Debris in intakes that caused the crash was the end. 😴 (Yawn)

I always hate sites that shows the ads perfectly fine but the content either doesnt run, buffers, or plays a low resolution video on a high resolution bandwidth. Worse are auto play vudeo ads wasting everyone's bandwidth and slowing everything else on the site along with pop-ups. All I want is to read the article...CNN...Wired...IGN...

A-10 is a must keep also because it can stay over the battlefield for a long time, comes in slow to strife with the gun, take fire with the titanium bath tub, carry lots of ordinance, and land in rough areas. Many cold war pilots wanted fast, sleek, and sexy planes which the A-10 isn't. Marine Corps have their own air units for close air support because many pilots of other branches were more into dogfighting than troop support. They would hit friendly sides or only cover troops for only a few minutes.

Too bad Apple bought it just like everything else. (Lala, Beats, etc.) Now, it’s proprietary and will only work for iTunes iOS users in the future.

SLS is a Frankenstein... I'm concerned it won't make it to orbit because of quality issues and crunch to get thing up. They are inspecting quality into a meh product instead of starting from the start and innovating a whole new top quality system. If this fails, it will set back US manned mission 10 years. Sounds familiar...this was what happened to Challenger when Reagan pressured NASA to launch so he can mention them in his upcoming televised speech to the Nation. If this fails, it will set back US manned mission 10 years. I really hope I'm completely wrong. I remember seeing Apollo 11 landing on the moon as a child in black and white. All three networks ran the mission and you couldn't escape it. We didn't have exclusivity deals back then.

With all those assets moving at once there's bound to be friendly fire incidents. 😢

They are far ahead because they don't have to deal with FAA/FCC red tape. Impressive. ☺️

9:20 Sad on so many levels. It's who you are and your position how you're treated than being a person in need of help. Seems true today in many countries and social media.

It's more history than engineering but okay. Operation Overlord...

Another Boeing-related video... Boeing has issues with manufacturing and quality control not to mention issues with Starliner. I would like to think Boeing had nothing to do with making these videos. They have a long way to go to fix their image.

I don't like William Shockley because he was talking time off when the discovery happened. And came up with an improvement to wedge his name in history with the Shockley transistor. He was heavily into racist eugenics projects and believed in the bell curve. Your race determines your maximum IQ. Bardeen and Brattain are the true discovers. Shockley just ran the project.

So, I’m not as good a driver as I thought. Lesson learned: Don’t do in real life what you do in the game. You’ll get a nasty surprise.

While we're at it, we. can stop using conventional current because Ben Franklin guessed wrong and rearrange the keyboard because it was originally designed to slow typists down. This can go on and on...

We need a real life arc reactor.
