I’ve lost confidence in the Secretary of the Navy... If every captain has to think of their career every time a decision is made, we can’t win wars. Not a good look...and it’s a shame. Obviously, the Navy was trying to keep this under raps at the cost of the sailors who were “volunteered” for the activities in Vietnam.
