IIRC didn't Trump had less than 35% approval when he beat Hillary? If he's at 45% now, that means his re-election is practically guaranteed!

I love him too. Never thought I'd say those words even just 4 years ago, but damn has he proven to be an INCREDIBLE president!

The primary model also has a near-perfect track record, and they gave Trump a 91% chance of winning. Lichtman's an intelligent guy and all, but even the brightest bulb in the room can get things wrong every now and again. I would not be surprised if his track record of accurately predicting the presidential election results ends this year.

@terrythetuffkunt9215 We'll just have to wait and see what happens I guess. This is really the first election in which two provably reliable election models are conflicting with each other, and so in November we'll see which one is truly the most accurate predictor.

@marekctvrty I mean, technically speaking, in the context of Biden having no GOOD record to speak of, Lichtman's not entirely wrong... (yes I'm aware that's not what he means, just playing devil's advocate).
