It's not just him, it's like 95%+ of these so-called "Libertarians". Rand Paul is the only one I've seen who is willing to on occasion put his libertarianism aside and actually focus on doing what's right, but even he still has his disappointing moments even if he is (Sadly) one of the very few good GOP senators we have.

2024 with Trump is really our final chance. If he "loses" again we'll be at a point of no return and no matter what happens in 2026, 2028 or ANY future election we're doomed!

Indeed. Huge shame we all fell for the guy. I had had a bad feeling in my gut for a long time now that something was a little off regarding DeSantis and that perhaps he was only governing as based as he was so that he could become president, but to have those suspicions been confirmed in the past month really is depressing. Especially because now it'll be tougher to find a suitable successor to Trump in 2028 should he serve another 4 years....

Amen. So much for everyone whining about how "evil" it supposedly was of us to humiliate McCarthy and prevent him from just coronating him speaker as if he was a monarch!

Honestly I think I'd even take Doug Burgum over DeSantis at this point, and that's saying a lot considering he's not even that great of a governor himself.

I hear ya.... and the worse part is the fact that it seems the American people will never bother to lift a finger to do anything about it so long as they feel secure in their own personal lives. That's why I'm saying that , while I'm by no means rooting let alone cheering on a massive economic depression, it's very possible either that or something of the sort may have to occur in order to finally wake up the masses and make them realize the consequences of their decades-long decisions!

@usnbostx2 Signed by a lolbert. And what I mean is quite clear. On occasion Rand Paul puts aside his own biases and actually focuses on doing what's best for the country.

When the HELL are Republicans going to learn that it's not the 1980's anymore?! These uniparty cowards are exactly why the Dems will continue their unfettered destruction on American soil. What good is "winning" elections if we ultimately do nothing at all to stop our rivals in office?

Tell me about it. It's amazing how the GOP still thinks it's 1974 and that "muh principles" will actually grant them any favors at all with the left.... They're clearly and utterly in on it. But if they're somehow not.... They're legit some of the dumbest people on this planet! For as awful as the Dems are, at least they understand strategy and know how to win at the game, hence why they keep winning even when we're supposedly in power!

@nunereclipsereborn I agree. I do like Rand Paul to a certain degree, but his dad was still a lot better in pretty much every respect. Ron Paul is easily my favorite politician pre-Trump and I wish he had been our nominee in 2012; not only because I think he would've stood a much better chance of beating Obama than RINO Mittens, but also because had he became president we could've started pushing the Overton window in our direction a lot sooner and then our situation today, while perhaps still far from ideal, would at least be a lot better.

To be fair I think abortion was only a small factor at best as to why 2022 wasn't a red wave. Outside of MI, PA and MAYBE NY governor there really weren't a lot of races where the issue tipped the scale that much.

@Habib_Osman Frankly if I was a Dem I'd have respect for the GOP at this point. They're literally allowing them to get away with fucking EVERYTHING!

Hell, forget about ANY criminal Democrat at all facing justice! So long as these uniparty clowns are in power Dems could LITERALLY blow up our cities on Live TV and these "Republican" cowards would STILL allow them to keep their jobs because "muh principles!".
