General Ben Davis When it comes to ancestral Democrats, some of them have simply been with the party for far too long to wake up and realize just how far to the left it has moved. These people have voted Democrat virtually all their life and basically have had the party become a defining feature of their party, so trying to convince them to switch over can sometimes be a fruitless effort. We have begun to see cracks in this in recent years in rust belt states like Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Minnesota, and even states like West Virginia and Kentucky (though those two states have been redder for a significant time now anyway), but all in all I think it's going to be a little while still before we see the coalition truly collapse. Some people just flat out CANNOT be convinced to change, and the process is happening slowly enough that Dems can still win elections with these voters for at least the next 5-10 years.

Northam needs to be used by the Trump campaign as a symbol of Democrap hypocrisy and tyranny (basically, Northam could be the figure Trump uses to display what happens when we let Democraps take power).

@CynicalBastard Clinton was impeached for perjury and lying under oath. Contrary to what Democraps want to claim, the impeachment itself had VERY LITTLE to do with the fact that Bill had an affair, as it's pretty much a no shit point that the affair alone did not violate any laws. It was the fact that he was dishonest to the American people about it and purjured himself that got him into trouble. Had Bill told the truth from the get-go, there may still have been some people angry at him, but there never would've been an impeachment trial of any sort. And in all actuality there is far more corruption and shit attached to Bill and Hillary's name than just Bill's extramarital affairs. From Vince Foster all the way to Benghazi, there is so much scandal surrounding the Clintons that they really do perfectly exemplify the stereotype of the corrupt American politician always lusting for more and more power.

Perjury is a crime and the fact that Bill committed it met the standards needed for an impeachment inquiry. Period. "There is scandal in all of American history" No shit Sherlock. You think I was born yesterday? And furthermore, just because there is so much scandal in American history doesn't mean those scandals aren't worth investigating or discussing. "I'll be waiting with your extraordinary exposition on the vague presidents where this general notion doesn't hold up" I don't need to do any such thing as I never made the claim that most presidents don't engage in corruption or have scandals attached to them. Of course nearly all of them do, do you honestly think we're all dumb children here? That's not even the main point I was making here, which was that Bill was impeached for committing crimes and that the affair itself had little if anything to actually do with it. Me pointing out that the Clintons' corruption is a great example of the stereotypes of American politicians isn't me saying that no other politican or president is guilty of such things, but rather that the Clintons are an easy go-to pick to show such corruption. I'm sure almost every president has had some sort of minor scandal carried with them, I'm not going to bother trying to find an exception as it's really not necessary in the scope of this discussion.

@spacegirl226 College lefties always prioritize gender and race above all else, so unlike you I'm not even slightly surprised everyone in that class cheered around that fact. Anyway, yeah, Pelosi is such a garbage speaker, yet I'm also conflicted on whether or not I actually want her out of her post, as on the one hand she is VERY corrupt and such a snake, who also has completely disrespected the constitution with her holding back the impeachment articles from the Senate for several weeks, yet at the same time, it's pretty evident that based on how things are going right now, when Pelosi either retires or loses renomination as House Speaker, she'll be replaced by an even crazier far leftist in the style of AOC who will abuse his/her power even more than the way Pelosi has, and that will be the beginning of the end of this country. So, as much as I hate Pelosi, I also hope she hangs on as long as possible just for that reason alone.
