I'll always be of the opinion that Mittens was the absolute worst candidate (aside from maybe an Obama-McCain rematch) that the GOP could've run in 2012. Contrary to popular belief, I think Obama was actually quite vulnerable in his re-election year, and if someone with balls like Ron Paul or Newt Gingrich (or heck, even a Donald Trump candidacy 4 years earlier!) had gotten the nomination instead, he would've easily been defeated. Republicans learned the hard way that it takes a lot more to beat a terrible president than just simply running a white, Mormon clone of him!

@ITJustMeKG Long story short, the Dems back in 2013 were cocky after Obama was re-elected and thought they were going to hold both congress and the white house forever, so my moronic ex-Senator Harry Reid thought it was a good idea to pack the courts and lower the necessary vote count from 60 to 50. Boy is that decision coming back to haunt the Dems now!

@generalawareness101 I agree. That's why I don't really consider myself a Republican as much as I consider myself a Trump fan. The only reason I vote a straight GOP ticket is because the Dems are just that evil!

@ITJustMeKG No problem. What's sad is that both me and that dickwad Harry Reid actually live in the same place (I won't say the exact name of it for privacy reasons, but it's a country club) and my stepdad actually almost ran him over once a few years ago!

Derpetology 101 I don't know... she did far better in her primary this year than in 2018 and she's still fairly popular in her district. If they were dumb enough to vote her in to begin with, I don't trust they are smart enough to have learned from their mistakes. Though if she did lose I'd throw a huge celebration party!

Chidi Akara Ugh... get ready for AOC to happen in 2024, you know it's coming :/ .

Derpetology 101 Amen to that buddy. Indeed, the very fact that Obama still did worse in 2012 than in 2008 despite how godawful of a candidate Mitt Romney was goes to show you that he really wasn't as "amazing" and "popular" as the left makes him out to be.

@Ltulrich LOL... you're onto something there! :)

Derpetology 101 Only way that would ever happen is if 90% of liberals fled America... And many of them hate this nation and want to destroy it too much for that to occur!

@colonelreb1014 It also helped that up until recent years, Nevada Democrats were generally more conservative than Democrats at large (after all, we are/were the wild west state and Vegas isn't dubbed "sin city" for nothing!). It really wasn't until the Bush era when Reid and the Nevada Democrap party at large started to go in a more "progressive" direction like the rest of the party.

@theplanforlife Yes, that's pretty much the only reason I think she's abstaining. She knows her political career is coming to an end, and so she's just desperately trying to do anything she can to make her more appealing to Democraps!

Mittens finally grew some balls!

@Menaceblue3 In all honesty I still don't even yet know who we should nominate for 2024 for myself. Several options would be good... Trump Jr. , Josh Hawley, Dan Crenshaw, Ron DeSantis, Kristi Noem, Daniel Cameron... There's still plenty of time left and a lot can change, but I could see any one of the people above making good presidents! Right now, I'm kinda hoping for a Trump Jr./DeSantis ticket.

Highly doubtful. I think he's just expressing reservations since we've had so much corruption on the courts lately. The idea of an actual good Supreme Court Justice who will follow the constitution as written seems to good to be true for some. Though if it weren't for how the Dems treated Kavanaugh I'd be wanting Trump to nominate Tom Cotton.

@generalawareness101 We can only hope the GOP won't try to return to the way they were before Trump in 2024, and that they'll nominate a good candidate who is a worthy successor of Trump! of course, changing demographics will also play an important role too...
