Jones is gonna lose anyway LOL. Lest we forget, the only reason he's in power right now is because Roy Moore's candidacy imploded after bogus pedophilia allegations.

BDom I guess to be fair to the OP, most Alabama Democrap politicians are rather conservative compared to the national party, but even still I would just vote GOP anyway.

@Viper223 Yes, PLEASE vote Tuberville! He'll CRUSH Doug Jones and completely embarass him!

@LR-vg4et I honestly don't get why so many right wingers have praised Tulsi Gabbard LOL. Sure, she's kinda cute, but she's just as much of an authoritarian anti-gun socialist leftie as any other Dem in the field. Is it just because she's good at articulating those ideas? Cause if that's the case, then so was fucking OBUMMER!

@ianstradian Moore is still better than 99% of candidates the Dems could come up with.

@franklombardo8246 They can try all they want to, but after the Kavanaugh kerfuffle, Alabamians won't fall for it again.

@franklombardo8246 I wish that we as a society had not lost sight of innocent until proven guilty.... It's absolutely scary that your whole career can be ruined over a fucking allegation!

Hope you all are planning to nominate Tuberville. From what I've seen, he'd be a FAR better challenger to Corrupt Doug Jones than Roy Moore or Jeff Sessions.

Yep. Alabama should go with Tuberville. He's a likable candidate and he already has a 7-point lead over Jones in polling nearly a year out from the election.

@moonlapse_vertigo Yep, that's literally all it is. It's a desperate plea by Jones to attempt to save his Senate seat since he knows he's fucked in 2020. The vote may be enough to make the race a bit closer, but with Trump sharing the ballot with Jones and with Alabama being such a red state, he still has no chance in hell of holding on. I'd be surprised if Jones even managed 45% of the vote this time.

@westfield90 Plus in all 3 cases the MSM made the GOP candidate out like they're some kind of horrible monster (of course, in the case of Kansas, the incumbent GOP governor at the time was despised throughout the state, so that didn't help matters either).

@NastyF5 I don't think Alabama will become a blue state at least until maybe 2035. There are a couple suburbs starting to trend more Democratic, but thus far, not to an extent big enough to actually swing elections. Both Alabama and Mississippi should remain solidly red well into the 2020's at least.
