My current prediction is about 53 GOP senate seats (they'll flip Nevada, Georgia and Arizona) and 240 GOP House seats.

Yeah but the GOP also only had like 180 seats after 2008 compared to the 210 they have right now. That fact combined with the fact that polarization has gotten much deeper since that time likely means anything more than 40 flips for the GOP is out of the question.

@djmars1983 And that's very understandable. All the more reason we need to not get complacent and encourage people to get out and vote.

I think he's got a better chance than many people think. Mastriano will drive up rural turnout massively and it helps too that Josh Shapiro is essentially stealing the failed Terry McAuliffe playbook.

@Bob-64 I do still wish the wave could be even bigger though. We sadly live in times too polarized now for waves as gigantic as 2010 or even 1994 to ever occur again.

I'm pretty bullish admittedly on that race but in all honesty I think Lake may already have it locked up. The fact that even some early MSM polls that have historically overestimated Dems massively are showing Lake with a small lead is a really good sign for her and shows that she very well could win by as much as 5-7 points in November. On top of that Katie Hobbs is a terrible candidate running a Terry McAuliffe like campaign and is even hated by some segments of her own party for some supposed "racist" things she said in the past.

I think instead of term limits it may be more beneficial to introduce a recall system of sorts for Senators. After all, the whole point of being a Senator is to represent the interests of your state's voters, so by having a system in place where voters could toss you out before your term is expired if you're failing at that duty, it may motivate a lot more senators to actually focus on passing good and effective legislation instead of just worrying about their re-election. And then of course good Senators/House Reps who do their jobs effectively and are well liked by their state/CD can stay in office for as long as voters want them there. In addition to that, we need to get money out of politics.

Eh... Still wouldn't trust a lot of them. Many of the leftists who hate Biden only hate him because they don't think he's been radical enough!

Yeah, Massachusetts is a lost cause sadly. Too many woke "college educated" white liberals there who are absolute snobs and think they're better than everyone else.

@settame1 Hell no. Karlyn's a moron and a snowflake.

New Hampshire, Vermont and MAYBE (Though incredibly unlikely) Maryland may be the only exceptions.

Nate Silver (or Nate Plastic as people like myself enjoy calling him) is full of s***. He's been wrong time and time again and it's a shame anyone still buys into his analysis.

@jjs5191 Yeah, because that disgusting hateful leftist pastor Warnock is the epitome of a qualified Senator.... LMAO.
