@jcaesar19871 He was basically a Democrat in all but name. A complete and total RINO.

Get ready to then. Honestly you should already leave if you can afford to do so, the state's an absolute crap hole and it's been very sad to see.

Even if that wasn't true, he should still lose anyway for being a complete and total criminal and just an all around reprehensible human being. Sadly since it's CA that may actually benefit him...

That is true, I myself was honestly surprised by how well Republicans did in CA considering how much they dropped the ball elsewhere. Even so though, I kinda wonder if that was actual red trends or if it was just simply due to lower turnout (after all, Brian Dahle did get less votes than John Cox in 2018).

@potcrak1 Highly doubt it unless Schiff does something so awful that even the most hardened leftoids can't defend it (and considering they defend even the most vile things Biden and other Dems have done, I wouldn't hold my breath on that one).

What's funny is that for all the hype that gets talked about by older boomers about "CA finally about to flip red!" every cycle that of course falls flat on its face every single time, I actually think we have a MUCH greater chance of flipping NY in the coming years assuming the trends we saw in 2022 weren't a fluke.

Heard that same thing about Walker in GA... Unfortunately just because you're a celebrity doesn't mean you're free from the same political BS realities as everyone else. Sadly all most people care about these days is just the letter after your name. That being said, I could see Garvey overperforming a bit and helping downballlot Republicans. From what I've heard the CA primary turnout was more Republican friendly demographically than normal, so if that holds true in November as well then we'll certainly hold pretty much all the GOP congressional seats there we currently have now and perhaps also pick up the 47th district.

Tell me about it... It's really damn annoying. I just wish boomers and other naive folks would stop falling for it.

Sadly a ton of people actually do push the nonsensical narrative that the GOP has a chance in CA and every single cycle they pay needless mind to the state and pretend that it's finally gonna be the year that flips red. It's a stupid distraction that I wish more people would wise up to. If even the recall election didn't go our way, we'll never win anything in CA beyond just some House seats in our lifetimes.

The people in the red areas are pretty much as conservative as one would expect, but sadly many of the "Republican" politicians in CA are RINOs.

Believe me, I wish I could tell people in CA that there actually was a realistic shot to get any genuine conservative elected and that it was anything more than a pipe dream, but facts and statistics don't lie sadly. It would take a MASSIVE miracle of the grandest kind to flip CA red.
