Definitely agreed. I think he will go scorched earth this time around if he does get a second term. In many ways I kind of like to liken Trump's first term to a "learning experience" of sorts. A time when, although Trump understood the root of the problem, he had no full idea just how deep and far it went nor yet who to trust or not to trust, and then after 4 years of having been lied to, backstabbed and flat out targeted by virtually everyone in Washington, he now knows and understands who the true enemies are. And now with this knowledge he can more adequately take them on.

But you still have to wonder if he genuinely believes those things or if he's just a snake in the grass. We've seen WAY too many people on the political arena in the past promise a bunch of great and necessary things, only for them to turn out to be liars and frauds!

Likewise I don't get why we can't be skeptical of people like Vivek. What, just because he says good things we like to hear? So have many other up and coming politicians and frauds in the past... It's possible Vivek is indeed a MAGA warrior, but it's also equally as possible that he's controlled opposition and just yet another guy saying and doing whatever he feels he needs to to get people to vote for him.

I just find it hard to trust Vivek. Like some others have said, he strikes me as an Indian Obama.... someone who came out of nowhere and is magically this ultra based warrior who is saying anything and everything we like to hear. Could just be pure pessimism on my part, but I suspect a grift.

What exactly are YOU doing to fight for freedom and liberty besides just posting several paragraph rants on YouTube? I don't even necessarily disagree at all with anything you said here, but at the same time I'm always amused at self-contradictory posts like this.

@lefantomer No, of course sexual abuse towards children happens in too large of amounts and it absolutely is a tragedy we need to be doing more about. That doesn't change the fact though that, especially in the wake of the #MeToo movement, there have also been WAY too many false allegations of sexual assault or even R**e, and as a result of that fact many men just flat out avoid women in the workforce altogether because it's gotten so bad to the point where all a woman has to do to be believed is just cry that a man did something to her and then the man's life is destroyed forever unless they're a super high up CEO or a crummy politician.

@13StJimmy Well yes, but that's also only easy to say now because of hindsight. Make no mistake... Whether it was because of media propaganda or not, back in 2008 a LOT of people were falling in love with and were excited about Obama and he truly was at the time a once-in-a-generation political talent. While yes some of that excitement purely came from the fact that he was gonna be "muh first black president", a LOT of it also came down to the fact that he had a lot of charisma and promised "hope and change" and was saying all the right things about the Iraq War and all of Bush's failed policies in general. Because of this many people DID genuinely believe he would be a great unifier, and that's precisely the point I'm trying to make here. Just because someone on paper SEEMS like such a great and amazing person doesn't automatically mean they will be or even that we should trust them at all. Remember, in many ways politics is essentially the dirtiest American sport there is; the WHOLE goal at the end of the day is to win by running up the scoreboard as much as possible against your opponent, and so many up-and-coming sleazebag political candidates will say and do whatever they feel they need to to get the votes and ultimately take power. Is it possible Vivek's genuine? Sure. But there's a LOT of question marks about him, and his background is very sketchy at best, and so I will need to see a lot more out of him before I am truly convinced he's even close to the real deal.

Well said. This whole thing has gone WELL beyond just the typical "left vs. right" debate. At this point we're in a war between people who care about our country and people who either just flat out don't or are so invested in "winning" by any corrupt and even flat out illegal means necessary to where they'll gladly rip our country to shreds if it means we "lose". It's a sad situation and I honestly had never hoped I'd ever see a day when I view a group of Americans like that, yet here we are...

If the DeSimps truly care about beating Biden as much as they claim to do so, then they need to be working with us to do whatever we all can to make sure Trump defeats him and that we can have an America we can be proud of once more instead of indulging in all the rest of this BS infighting. Glossing over the fact that that's a terrible idea because RFK Jr. Is a leftist on virtually everything but vaccines, he as a VP still wouldn't help Trump much if at all. There's a reason why he's consistently polled below 20% in the Dem primaries... Most of his party hates him precisely because of his few reasonable stances he has.

"MUH INDEPENDENTS!" really aren't a thing anymore, I'm sick of this narrative. Most so-called "indepoondents" vote just as strongly for either Republicans or Democrats as partisans do, and indeed split ticket voting with very few exceptions really isn't much of a factor these days either. This isn't the 1980's or even the early 2000's anymore. True independents no longer exist in large enough numbers. There's really only about 5% of the electorate that is actually persuadable in one direction or the other, and while that may be enough to decide an election in some cases, what REALLY matters nowadays is base turnout. And as it stands, Trump is the only one who can get the base out to vote.

@kennysdead500 Eh, if 2020 and 2022 were any indication though, it's that historical voting trends and past metrics that may have once been good at predicting outcomes of elections really aren't anymore. Voter f-word or no voter f-word, I think in this day and age elections are pretty much all just a turnout game. We're too polarized as a country for 1984 style landslides to ever occur again...

@kaifreyleue5961 DeSantis literally has almost the same damn record as Trump on COVID, he even praised the jab at the start and encouraged other Floridians to take it. This idea that Ron was some "anti-lockdown lord and savior" is just absolute ludicrous and pure revisionist history. If anything his COVID response was also weaker than other GOP governors like Henry McMaster or even Kevin Stitt, yet you never hear a peep about them.

Most of those suburban voters are NEVER coming back! I don't understand why neocons are so desperate to pander to woke white suburban Karens who have either never voted Republican in their lives or will literally ONLY vote Republican if it's like a Charlie Baker type! The fact of the matter is that these suburbs are not the same suburbs they were even just 20-30 years ago, and so they were inevitably going to trend left regardless of whether or not Trump ever even ran. Biggest example of this is the Atlanta suburbs in GA. Henry County in particular went from being like 80% white to nowadays 52% black. And similar demographic changes have occurred throughout the Atlanta metro area. THAT'S why they're blue now, not because "MUH TRUMP MADE THESE VOTERS SWITCH!". Honestly, it's amazing how just a little paid establishment propaganda goes a long way in making people believe obvious bullshit.

Outside of NH or MAYBE WV (Assuming RFK stays in the Dem primary for that long which I highly doubt), a vote for RFK Jr. is really just a wasted vote. He'll certainly do better than a lot of other challengers to incumbent presidents typically do, but he still pretty much has no shot whatsoever of winning the nomination. If even an almost equally as hated Jimmy Carter back in 1980 was able to win somewhat comfortably in the Dem primary against a far more popular and widely known Kennedy that year (late Chappaquiddick Ted), I can't imagine the far more controversial and less widely recognized RFK Jr. will have any shot against dementia Joe unfortunately. At best he'll probably do about the same as Ron DeSantis in the Dem primary.

I think RFK really wouldn't be too much of a factor if he did run independent. He'd likely take roughly equally from both sides. He'd get Democrats who are disillusioned with Biden and are fond of the Kennedy name, but I feel he'd probably also grab disaffected Trump supporters who still can't get over his early stance and creation of the coof jab. RFK would basically do extremely little or even absolutely nothing for our chances.

@atrip3769 Profit's not the only motivator for why someone may want to run though. Some may also do it because they're power hungry and want to obtain as much control as possible, or, in a case like this, because they secretly dislike a person so much and want to try their best to screw that person over later on in the general election (in this case that'd of course be Trump). All I'm saying is that we can't just blindly praise anybody for their speech alone. You always, ALWAYS must closely scrutinize them! And yes, I understand that there have been a few people (Tommy Tuberville, JD Vance, and most notably Trump himself) who also had somewhat questionable backgrounds and then turned out to be a lot better than many of us were expecting, but cases like those are really the exception rather than the norm. Really I'll need to see how Vivek behaves after the primary before I'm really fully convinced he's legit. If he actually tries to work with and help Trump get elected and even lands a spot in the cabinet, then okay, at that point I may be more comfortable with him. However OTOH if he either runs away altogether after the primaries and we never hear from him again or if worse yet he flips a switch and starts attacking Trump like Mo Brooks for example did, then it'll prove that he was a grifter the whole time that merely was using us for votes.

Unless young Joe Biden AKA Dean Philips decides to hop in the race all of a sudden (and if I'm not mistaken I believe he already declined to do so), no, it won't get interesting at all. RFK Jr. may do better than many people give credit for, and I could even see him MAYBE winning New Hampshire if Biden is kicked off the ballot there, but aside from that Biden's just gonna steamroll his way through the primary states unfortunately.
