I finally got a feral kitty to come in my house. She was our precious friend and lived to 21. I thought she was a boy at first. Her name was Gato but we called her Mama kitty because she was so nurturing of my kids. ❤️🙏🏼

It was sad that my dog was in a cage but that afternoon he was chasing a butterfly. It’s been a joy to give him what he didn’t have. He knew words like shelter and if someone asked me about where he was from he would hide under the kitchen table.

Aww. Her wagging tail, one foot moving to try. ♥️ The best miracle. Thank you.

My feral kitty came along at one year old. I had to lure her in with food at first and then she would crawl out on her belly to run away. One day I closed the door. She became the sweetest friend. Her name was gato because we didn’t know he was a she. We called her mama cat because she was pregnant and because she came to sit next to you if you were sick or sad. When my son adjusted to having epilepsy and the medication he slept on the couch for a week. She never left his side except to take care of basic business and run back. She died at age 21, loved and missed by all of us. May God richly reward her for her loving service. I miss you Gato.

Thank you for sharing the courage present in this entire family. Dogs do indeed grieve. My dog was the pup in the neighborhood so he’s lost a few. He stands in their yard and looks. I always say “We will always look for our friends honey.” Then I say a prayer, .”Please God, watch over all of our friends, until we meet again, one big Ohana.”

Yes they do. Mine has lost dog friends and 2 years later he still looks at their houses. 💔

I have a thing with a bluejay I’ve cared about since he and his brother were little. When he came back after the worst of winter and I didn’t know how long he might live, I cried happy tears. My Brother Bird.

@highhorse902 I’m so sorry to hear that. We were so lucky to have been loved by them. 😥❤️👏

Hyper all afternoon. Brush their teeth at night.❤️

That’s ok. Cats keep you humble.

Was it only six years ago. So terribly sad. Precious friend. The little boy was being protected. 😢

My dog is a pound puppy who was my shadow. My husband left the planet to the same disease. My dog has been devastated for two years. Their hearts have extraordinary capacity to amaze. ♥️

Thank you. The power of love doesn’t just go in one direction.

My dog on the drive home just was panting so hard because he was scared and his eyes were very open. I loved that he went from waking up in a cage to chasing a butterfly that afternoon. I wish they all could have a home.

Mine was a two time loser at six months old. After having him for three days the shelter called and said if I had to return him please do it quickly. I already knew knew what they were talking about. I said I would never do that. He’s a handful still and my best friend. He’s gotten me through good and bad times. He’s the best dog I’ve ever had. I knew very soon he would break my heart leaving some day. I wouldn’t have missed this.

God bless you. Happy New Year.

My shelter dog was nervous and can be weird around some dogs. Bigger ones went after him. I had to win them over and he seemed intrigued with the idea. We have been friends with all the more “more aggressive” breeds and people don’t follow leash laws here. Now a little pack goes for part of our runs with us. We both love them.

Precious baby. Thank you for keeping him safe.

Your song is magic. ❤️

My feral kitty had to be lured in with food until she knew it was ok to stay. She lived to age 21. ❤️My mini schnauzer was a “two time loser” at the shelter at age 6 months. I knew why very soon. The shelter called to say if you need to bring him back do it quickly. No way. I wouldn’t do that to him. He’s my wonderful friend. We saved each other.

When my dog was a pup a bat used to follow us a little on our walks. It always flow across my gate when we left and then came back. One day a year later it came back with another bat flying along. They flew big circles over the yard cruising over our gate. We never saw it again. I felt sad but also happy as assumed he was showing off his mate. ❤️

I love beagles.

Good people. Thank you.

Yay. You’re ok buddy.

I had to lure mine in with food at first but she would crawl out tummy down low. In time she was our one year old, Gato. She saw us through the toughest, saddest times, always there for a broken or scared heart. She lived to be 21. I’ll be grateful for the rest of my life. 😓❤️🌹🙏

I’m so glad the poor bird’s suffering was over. Thank you sir.

I would take her too. 😢❤️

I got love from two outside birds. I cried when they came to greet me after finally longer stretches of not hearing them every day and I knew the time would come. That time was this winter. To brother bird and grandpa bird. I will never forget them.

That’s my dog seven years ago. If I worked there, one by one I’d be sneaking dogs out of there and buying Volkswagens full of dog food. I rescued him and of course he rescued me. One morning behind bars, that afternoon chasing a butterfly.

This crushed me. So very very sad.😞I know the dangers of animal human interaction-I’m not judging that part. I photographed this scene a few times and wanted to paint it but never did. It was a tender, beautiful happening bookended by terrible fear and ultimate grief.

So precious.

Omg. This is great. He’s like my dog.

Trying to make them feel safe feels so good. With my new pup I would say my long list of people I prayed for at night. One night my dog stood next to me with that insistent look-he wasn’t hungry etc. Finally I got back into prayer and named Mom Dog and the pups, all of his neighborhood friends. He let out a big sigh and went to sleep. I know what I believe he understood. You can view it your way. 🕊✌🏼🤟🏻
