  4. I actually think 'standard German' sounds like complete ass. I have no idea where it comes from. I checked out almost all the real German tongues and they sounded great. Love Alemannic, love Suebian, love plattduutsch. What am I missing? Where does this horrible accent come from? And which idiot decided to make it 'standard'?
