  1. Actually good things in this talk, maybe I didn't want to hear it before. Trapped in a paralyzed state where I wouldn't act on my dreams and wishes because of health issues. I'm trying now again to 'live', aka, follow my dreams. Being able to be yourself around friends and family is incredibly powerful, because they want you to reach your goals and they will help you achieve them. That's why it's also important to have 'true' friends, people you feel a bond with that needs no words. Family of course is your blood and they will always be there for you if you stay true and honorable. The only thing I'll add is, you can work up to such a place, a place of happiness, where you're doing things you want to do and being thankful for them. And then you can be suddenly thrown down on your back, and it may take some time to get back up, but you can get back up, you can.

Y'know if what I read about Josh is true regarding his private situation, I would like to say to him: If you feel lost, start with looking at your ancestors, dive into what they did, where they're from. Maybe you'll get to know yourself a little better along the way. And find your footing again. If it's right that you're of Norwegian descent, as you've said before. I would recommend reading Old Norse poetry, especially Hávamál. Maybe you'll find some purpose to do some good. And heck, maybe even go visit the place after reading about it, to get an idea.

  4. In the end we are pretty simple beings and we've overcomplicated everything. Our main things are community, family and helping said community and family, that's what makes us happy. And you can do that in all sorts of ways, do it in a way that feels right to you. And elsewise, a wise man once said, someone who worries about the next day in bed is a fool. ;) Again, no need to complicate it, take that message that has worked for hundreds of years, trust your forebears and give it a try. If it doesn't work for you, you can go from there. But at least it gives you a frame, a reference to think in, and a place to start from.
