I got cows living in the field next to my home. They’re very cute animals. And I love it when they just get to live a natural life outside eating plants. And then preferably not the trash that is corn (sorry America I prefer my cows grassfed).

@TheActualDP it does? So when you feel lackluster and your legs are sleepy you never get that urge to just go running or cycling? Because that’d be the healthy reaction. Perhaps you’re jerking it too much? Not enough sunlight?

@jpe1 killing is unnatural? In what world is killing unnatural? Sure I don’t ‘like’ that cows need to be killed for meat. But it’s a sacrifice worth making. I just don’t think you city folk understand that food comes from somewhere and that it rarely comes without sacrifice. You have lost touch with reality, with nature. Life is survival. And if we can give cows a nice life AND honor them by using their whole body for food and useful materials like making combs or oil and leather and THANK them for their (unwilling) sacrifice. Then that’s the best thing.

He’s totally right about the marginal land. A lot of land was never farmable without artificial fertilizer. And turns out artificial fertilizer is disastrous for thr environment. So what did our ancestors do instead? Exactly, keep cattle! It’s still the same where I live.

@letshaveaniceday I’d call that poor lawmaking.

@dmoscrop Nah the way it goes I don't think is right. Instead we should shoot them with an arrow??? It really depends on the country. In my country they at least are unconcious when they are killed. May not be entirely natural but certainly more humane.

All this focus on climate change is bizarre. It is really just taking the focus off the things that are DIRECTLY ruining our lands, soil, nature, animals and plants. In most countries factories and cars pollute the air so much you can’t even safely drink rainwater. They also STILL dump chemicals STRAIGHT into the rivers which decimate the fish that we could otherwise be eating and again poisons the water we could otherwise be drinking. They lay waste to forests and sell it as ‘bio fuel’. They put throwaway plastic on everything. They make all kinds of awful chemicals and tell people it’s safe to use. It’s more than a little suspicious that the only thing media outlets focus on are things that make us MORE dependent on big business like that WE have to get solar panels and get electricity from windmills. That WE have to eat fake meat. But never do they focus on the corporations that are literally destroying our environments directly.
