  1.  @BBweed420  I don’t think you understand how advanced people were back then. The only thing really separating them and us is automation. Automation has been a long process, starting with letting animals work for us, then the river, then the wind, and eventually steam and other forms of gas. But nearly every process we have automated was already doable by hand in Roman times. So it just took more physical labor and time.

  2. What you said in fact is offensive to me. We literally stand on the shoulders of our ancestors, they are us, we are them. It’s not like we suddenly got really smart and invented all these things in the past 20 years. It has been piecing a thing together, then passing it on, which leads to another thing which is then passed on again, slowly expanding our knowledge over generations. If we’d have to start from scratch every generation, we would still not even have figured out how to make tools, communicate by speech, let alone make a fire. In fact, we would have gone extinct in the blink of an eye. So show some respect to yourself and your ancestors for discovering and passing on all these amazing techniques. Your viewpoint is idiotic, I’m sorry to say.
