  1. Entertaining and nice for sleep. But you are somewhat exaggerating. Thatched roofs are great, they won’t just go leaking on ya at all, I still have one. And the fire was hot and by all stacking closely to the fire in bed closets you’d keep warm for sure. Also wattle and daub make for great walls but they do need more maintenance than brick. But yeah, if you want privacy go outside. And ngl, glasless windows is a big oof. Although they did have hatch doors to close them. But tightwoven wool is pretty darn warm. Especially the broadcloth.
