Jake thanks mate. I was a British English language consultant, in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I left March 2021, because of Putin even then; playing about on the borders.
I'm now in Alanya region; of the beautiful Med Sea climate. Today October 15th it was 25c ๐ and no rain since March 10th.....heaven for an Englishman. (I'm from Kensington and Chelsea in London originally)
I have much experience about rashists.
On Odessa Black Sea beaches, in about 2019, prior to Covid restrictions.
They spoke to beach restaurant staff like dogs. Drunken, uncivilised, Bolshovik legacy; behaviour.
That woman's rude attitude, to the potential conscript. That's typical.
In Alanya, the cars are suddenly rashist number plates. As opposed to March, when they were Ukrainian.
There are many expats, from all over the world, here in Alanya. Many times, we've sat around outside cafes; and everyone speaks English. rashists can't join in, as they mostly don't. This makes them isolated and even then; they think we're all from Great Britain ๐ Such is their backward thinking.
They speak to Turks, the same way as I described them behaving with Odessans.
I spose you can't educate pork.
Turks tolerate them and nothing more; as we all do.

ย @SrCoxasย We've never felt threatened by ANYONE. Fought Germany ALONE from 1939-41. Until USA came and helped. No doubt in my mind; that had they not. Then eventually, we'd have been speaking German. We defeated Germany in the Battle of Britain (RAF) of course, decimating the Luftwaffe. Plus the Royal Navy, inflicting massive, substantial wounds; to the Nazi navy.
However I think eventually, Hitler would have invaded successfully. He made a mistake invading USSR.
Weather beat him btw, don't listen to the USSR nonsense. They had little technology and bombers won the war; as Britain and USA did it 24/7, taking it in turns day and night. It was the first modern war and so UK and USA; softened up by destroying infrastructure. So the Soviets, who had a terrible airforce, had an easier entry to Berlin; from the East.
I was in the Royal Navy ๐ฌ๐ง and in 1982; sailed ten thousand miles to take back the Falklands, from the fascist dictator General Galtieri.
USSR laughed at us, supporting Galtieri ironically (paradoxically) as they were communists.
Seven weeks later, Argentina were defeated. Then USSR crapped themselves. Thatcher was feared.
After all, USSR were still entranched in Afghanistan. LOSING!
I was a British English language consultant, in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I left on 31st March 2021, because of Putin even then; playing about on the borders.
So my friends, particularly in Odessa, told me about this USSR paranoid attitude to us ๐ฌ๐ง๐บ๐ฒ
It was discussed in great detail, all over the media; and in schools colleges etc.
Reagan wanted to flatten Russia; and at the time I disagreed. (Gorbachev after all, made friends etc.)
Now, I think if Reagan had, we'd have got rid of these troublesome nuisances.
I live in Alanya region in Turkey now, after I left Odessa Ukraine. Some of my friends in Kyiv and Odessa, have died because of Vladolf Putin.
Alanya gets around 324 sunny days a year. It's a beautiful Med Sea climate.
I'm from Kensington and Chelsea in London, originally.
I'll be watching London and indeed Britain; this weekend coming. As Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth, celebrates 70 years on the throne. The whole of Great Britain gets four days off I think.
It'll be 33c here ๐ in Alanya; as it has been for weeks.
Somehow I don't think it will be anywhere near that. In UK.
God bless ๐ค Queen Elizabeth.

I see lots of comments here, mainly from Americans.
So I'm going to slightly disagree, with the comments against Russia.
I used to be, a British English language consultant, in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I left on 31/3/21 because of Putin even then; playing about on the borders.
I now live in Alanya region, of the beautiful Med Sea climate.
So I have experience, of living in two countries, who were involved in that deal.
Plus I was in St Petersburg Russia many years ago; but I only worked there three months on an exchange deal. So it's not long enough, to form an opinion, just a view.
Only ten or so days ago. Prez Zelynski removed his TOP security official and Attorney General.
Their crime? Corruption. Possibly selling info to the Kremlin. Only three days before that, the Attorney General had been in the Hague. Lecturing about corruption. Putin got his way because he knows what makes Ukrainians tick.... MONEY.
The day of the signing, I said to my friend, someone will break this within a week.
There are a number of factors, to suggest it could have been anybody.
Firstly, it was broken just a few hours after the signing.
Secondly the MP in Odessa, asked for more arms to sink the Russian navy.
Thirdly, the powers of USA, EU and UK, didn't like it, that they were not included in this signing.
Well too bad....you should have asked.
Lastly, the BBC TV news, who I trust the most, for its overall impartiality (generally). Reported, there had been no visual proof, that two Russian missiles, had been shot down. Plus the remnants of others hadn't been shown either.
I watched the explosion filmed by a local person and uploaded on another channel.
The "strike" appears to be an incendiary device.
Looks something similar, to what I saw, when I served in the Royal Navy ๐ฌ๐ง in the Falklands War.
So I've given you a different viewpoint.
Someone wanted to wreck that deal. It was so quickly also.
So these are the choices we need to look at:
SUB...(Ukraine) CIA MI6 Mossad FSB.
Take your pick. Out of those, the only ones to gain the most, is the first one.
Ukraine have got what they wanted. More arms.
Don't give them nukes. History shows they were made to give them up. You have to ask why.
I've travelled to 32 countries in my life.
Ukraine is the most corrupt. (I've just explained about the security chief; and the attorney general)
It's a badge of honour amongst them, to even pull a fast one; on friends or family members

ย @AnthonyBurtonย Okay thanks, you've re-educated me.
Thanks for reading what I've said.
I'm appreciative, that you've had problems with them.
In UK right now, I know of seven families, that have had things stolen by refugees.
They have a reputation, throughout Eastern Europe mostly.
A legacy of USSR, where even there, they were vilified for thievery.
I have a friend Sasha, who lives in Odessa. He's from Moldova originally.
In USSR, he was transferred to Odessa, as he was in the USSR Navy.
He told me, all other countries, within the USSR; wouldn't bunk with a Ukrainian.
They were put in together.
Recently a YouTube was posted by them, that God knows, how many Hollywood stars, had Ukrainian blood. Leonardo DiCaprio got very irritated by that.
I found seven people who weren't.
Simple Wikipedia information
Another that Queen Elizabeth 2 of ๐ฌ๐ง was Ukrainian, somewhere along the line.
Please access:
"Dead Souls" A novel by Nikolai Gogol.
It's interesting to see, why they indeed, appear to have none...(Russians included)
I could actually write a book, about what I saw.
I don't condone Putin, for what he's done.
Absolutely not.
However, we are unable to comment I believe, on other matters that are annoying him.
Matters of money owed for example.
Let's just leave it like that.

Do it to them; before they do it to you.
I fought in the Falklands War; in the Royal Navy ๐ฌ๐ง
USSR laughed at us sailing 10 thousand miles, to save a few thousand people.
They didn't and still don't understand; principles. They are currently and historically; cold hearted, robotic, soulless, boring, jealous, narcissistic, boastful people.
When we defeated Galtieri in ten weeks. USSR crapped themselves. I know, as I have friends in Kyiv and Odessa. Who told me it was all over their TV, newspapers, even discussed in schools.
They couldn't believe how organised a journey, and victory; could have been so quick.
They thought Thatcher would target them next. She despised USSR and communism.
USSR, as rushists are now, were and are troublesome nuisances.
Reagan wanted to nuke Moscow. Thatcher intervened. Reagan was right.

Jake hello. Occasionally I comment on your vids.
This one I felt it necessary, as I was a British English language consultant in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I experienced this machismo push up error, constantly on Odessa beaches. Together with outdated PT exercises. It was humourous to watch it. Mind-blowing in fact.
These were mostly carried out, by the old USSR generation.
In the USSR, everyone was given grandiose titles. Hairmaster. Nailmaster. I'll just stop there as I'm sure you get the picture.
Unfortunately in Ukraine; these titles are still used. They're actually unaware they're part of this USSR nonsense. Not their fault, it's their parents and grandparents.
I left Odessa about 10 months before the invasion, as I anticipated that the so called "military exercises" were a prequel; of what was to come.
I'm now living in Alanya region, of the beautiful Med Sea climate. 320 sunny days a year and heaven for an Englishman ๐. Yesterday 30/12/2022 was 23c ๐
Many ex Soviet corrupt people, live in the next town. Absconding with loot; and buying property here mid 90s.
Tourism is heavily rashist orc also; in selected towns along the Turquoise Coast.
I'm including that USSR generation from Kazakhstan and so on.
They all do these (what I term as) dated PT exercises that UK and USA practiced; probably in the 60s.
Arm twirling. Neck exercises. You're sure to know this.
It's a sad sight to see, they cannot break this habit, of ideological brainwashing.
The only nation, from that ideology rejecting it, is the Polish ๐
Many from both russia and Ukraine are here now; for war reasons.
My friends and I sit outside cafes and we all speak English.
These people are from Western Europe and Scandinavian countries mostly.
rashists walk by and assume we're all ๐ฌ๐ง๐ค๐บ๐ฒ and hurl insults at us (quietly); as they're so ignorant of Europe and Scandinavia now. Assuming we're from ๐ฌ๐ง๐ค๐บ๐ฒ ๐....when I answer them in my reasonable rashist language; the look on their faces is a sight to behold.
Bye-bye and thanks.

Sir I served in the Royal Navy ๐ฌ๐ง Falklands conflict.
The USSR were scared stiff of us. Thatcher. Reagan.
The reason I know this, is because up until March 31 2021. I was a British English language consultant, in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
People told me everywhere, that it was all over the media. Discussed in schools.
USSR made fun of Britain initially; but it was a different story after such a lengthy journey, and a pretty quick victory. Whereas USSR were struggling in Afghanistan.
I happen to believe this war, has exposed them for what they are.
Liars... rapists (WW2 East Germany and East Berlin kids to grannies)
MILLIONS!
May 9 the fake victory date....I'm sure you are aware of this.
In my experience, Russians are generally speaking; stupified.
They are narrow minded, soulless, boring, jealous, cold hearted, robotic, narcissistic people.
Bolshevik, uncivilised, murderers, descending from surfs; and potato picking peasants.
I could go on but I've said enough.

I'm from Kensington and Chelsea; in London. My name is historical; and some three hundred or so years back. However you wouldn't think it, based on the abuse I get from rashists on-line; such is their ignorance of European history.
Was a British English language consultant, in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I left in March 2021 because of Putin, even then playing about on the borders.
I now reside in Alanya region of the beautiful Med Sea climate.
324 sunny days a year and the other day, on October 18th it rained for the first time; since March 10.
Heaven for an Englishman ๐
Lots of Ukrainians came here in March 2022.
Now it's rashist orcs running away like cowards.
I've had lots of experiences of both nations.
I dislike rashists and that was BEFORE the conflict.
Ukrainians are trying to break the link; and they have young politicians and TV presenters.
Rashists here are still their arrogant, uncivilised, cold-hearted, Bolshovik legacy behaviour, murdering of Romanov children selves.
We expats here from all over the world, who speak English together outside cafes etc (and rashists can't join in) have to listen to them....(I speak understand rashist language reasonably well.) knocking Ukrainians.
They all think we're English, throw verbal insults at us, such is their ignorance level.
We tolerate them, as do Turkish people and NOTHING more.
Excellent work Jake and thanks ever so.

ย @tessjuelย It is, in its cruelty.
I highlight the treatment of Ukrainian people in this respect. Currently.
Disinformation. That's never changed except for a short period I spose.
So if I may....
Dear Madam
Within this 2 day war he expected, he's had his throne dirtied.
Russian soldiers are hopeless. He's resorting to begging terrorists. His reputation in tatters.
Little Ukraine are fighting very well indeed. It doesn't matter if he wins.
He never actually will, as there'll be constant military underground activity.
He's revealed himself to be a school playground bully.
With an absolutely, cowardly, nonsensical military. (I'm ex Royal Navy ๐ฌ๐ง Falklands War.....and you?)
Russian people are most likely the same, except....they'll be ostracised for decades now.
USSR could hide, as we didn't have a social media world.
Additionally those people, have been complicit by their own silence.
Conspicuous by their absence.
As for that insane despot. Two million people displaced, amongst other atrocities.
Just like Hitler. There are other obvious comparisons.
I used to live in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three in Ukraine.
I was a British English language consultant.
I also taught in St Petersburg Russia years ago. After my military service.
In my experiences, Ukrainian people, are open and funny.
With vitality and energetic, confident TV presenters. Wishing to move forward; in a modern world.
A democratic young country; with young politicians.
A person can say what they think. There'll be no arrests.
Russians are seemingly the opposite. A nation of zombified people.
Russian TV is full of one sidedness. No debate
Full of boastful and narcissistic, jealous people; generally speaking. Stuck in the past.
Their population has a serious, some might say boring, miserable, tendency to see everything as a struggle. That's their past.... A 74 year legacy of Communism.
Struggle etc apparently is good ๐
I'm no armchair critic.
I've travelled extensively.
How about you?
Have a lovely day.
I am,
Yours faithfully
Etc etc etc

That bit at 13:30 and a while longer.
Is EXACTLY what Stalin did, when they attacked the Rheichstag.
Hitler was not there and was in the Chancery.
The Reichstag had been empty for years.
I watched this story, on an ex Brit military commanders channel.
He also suggested, that when USSR attacked, they were losing to German cannons, located left to right of the Reichstag. So USA and UK were in turn, attacking those German cannons; from elsewhere.
This was never acknowledged by Stalin; and instead he stage managed the date, to show the flag being raised.
Additionally, he changed the later dates of victory, from May 8 to 9.
Again he never acknowledged the Germans real surrender.
Throughout history, these people have lied. USSR and Russia.
I worked as a British English language consultant, in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I left on March 31 last year, because of Putin even then playing on the borders. Moved to Alanya Turkey and a great Med Sea climate.
I made a lot of friends in Odessa, who were business people.
They said UNTIL glasnost and perestroika, under Gorbachev. They had been told that Anglo-Saxon aggressors ๐ UK and USA forces; didn't enter WW2 until 1944 ๐ค๐
I can confirm this, as when I stayed in a guesthouse in Odessa, a wee while before I rented an apartment. A couple who owned the guesthouse, who were about early 60s age group, asked me why USA and UK hadn't helped USSR until 1944.
I pointed out that UK had fought Germany ALONE from 39-41. Battle of Britain etc. Royal Navy destroyed The Bismark etc. USA entering the war tail end of 1941. Pearl Harbour etc
Showed them on Wikipedia; but they called it lies.
Other channels also; but they said it was imperialist propaganda.
Plus they were proud of communism. Which drew a question from me; as to why they were capitalists now...... unanswered.
So
This is what you're dealing with; if you travel there.
We ๐ฌ๐ง๐บ๐ฒ are brushed from history it would seem.
Keep up the good work Jake and thx.

Ps
Your explanation was spot-on.

Jake you do a great job.
I am a member of an on-line forum where many subjects are covered.
At one time in the past, I had a quarter of a million followers.
However a few years back I got banned for contentious comments, by the internet thought police.
So
Have avoided making wokedom stuff comments, since my ban was lifted.
However today, I made a comment about Ukraine etc which right now, is not the flavourable thing to do.
So I fully expect to be banned again but hey! in a UK general election a majority can be ONE!
Quote:
I'm no rashist orc fan. However recently Zelynski found that his deputy; and most of his government were corruptly lining their pockets. One even bought a house and a mansion.
Another sold food supplies at a higher price, (donated from the West); illegally.
The worst though was the electricity infrastructure minister.
Who overpriced the generator requirements; and pocketed over 350 thousand dollars.
This was announced on the same day, as when two Brit ๐ฌ๐ง volunteer aid workers were killed.
Many of you armchair critics, on this forum mostly from ๐บ๐ฒ know nothing about Ukraine; in this
respect.
Are quick to jump on the anti-russian bandwagon.
However I've worked in both countries, as a British English language consultant.
The longest span was a year in Kyiv and three in Odessa.
I'm here to tell you, that Ukraine is far more corrupt; than Russia is.
If there are Russians reading this? They know EXACTLY what I'm talking about.
I left Ukraine about ten months before Putin invaded.
Now live in Alanya region of the beautiful Med Sea climate, with 320 sunny days a year.
Heaven for an Englishman ๐
Today 26/1/2023 was 22c ๐
There's lots of Eastern European people here running from Putin; for different
reasons. (They all get along fine.)
What disappoints me most, is that Ukrainian people have learned NOTHING.
Expect aid at the drop of a hat.
Are very right-wing orientated.
Will steal from their own family members. I had 3 phones stolen..... (Russian people took nothing of mine in St Petersburg). Are incredibly critical of families in EU and Great Britain; when they're
getting lots and should be bloody grateful. Are stealing from those families, or using hand-outs from the respective Govts to have cosmetic surgery.
I'll stop there.....but media are covering this up.
Ukraine should NEVER be allowed to join the EU, as they promised when President Zelynski was elected; that he'd get rid of corruption. Even the Ukrainian people here in Alanya, who have fled....drive the biggest 4x4 cars....even saw a Bentley. I also saw the most luxurious, of those type of cars in Odessa, far more than in Russia; and hardly at all in Alanya. Where people are far more humble; and drive everyday type cars.
There's nothing like personal experience; methinks.
Unquote
Thanks and I'm expecting a backlash here.
However; I stand by what I've written.

Nice work both.
I was a British English language consultant in Kyiv one year; and Odessa three.
I came across that generation of brainwashed commies, who thought I was somewhat strange.
Similarly I can confirm the politics angle, that Vlad describes here.
"No politics" was a favourite answer of theirs towards me.
I was just open minded and outspoken....a sort of freedom compared to them.
I'd never had that sort of ideology, Vlad describes here, in Kensington and Chelsea London, where I'm from.
However they weren't all like that.... plus especially people I'd say under 35 yrs old.
That age group were also frustrated, by their parents and grandparents; who couldn't understand why they wanted to learn the "evil English language"...๐ค๐
I anticipated Putin's invasion and left in March 2021.
I'm now in Alanya region of the beautiful Med Sea climate.
Experienced many Ukrainians here after the invasion.
Since then? Many rashist orcs are here avoiding mobilisation.
There are many expats here from UK, USA, Scandinavian countries, Aussies, and Western Europe.
We all sit outside cafes occasionally and "chew the fat" about life etc.
rashists pass by and utter negatively about "we English" as they can't join in.
However I learned enough russian language, to respond; and this freaks them out.
Similarly, their knowledge of Europe etc and the spread of the English language, is poor; because of the reasons Vlad describes here.
Now that Vlad is a British citizen ๐๐ฌ๐ง๐; he most certainly IS a "jewel in its crown"๐.
