  1. I was in the Royal Navy 🇬🇧 in the Falklands. We always had a feeling USSR military were useless. Afghanistan and now this confirms it. My friends in Odessa, told me the following: 1. USSR made fun of Britain, sailing 10 thousand miles, to save a few thousand people. (However they miss the principle I believe) 2. To add insult to injury; they sided with Galtieri paradoxically. 🙄 3. They didn't laugh after we defeated Argentina in 6 weeks. 4. In fact they were quite fearful, as it was all over the media; and special TV shows there for months. (Thatcher fearful my friends advised me.) WW2? I've always doubted that, as Stalin manipulated history, the censuses; and even the date of May 9. The weather defeated Hitler's 6th army. Starvation and freezing conditions also killed them. Russia didn't have the balls to fight like us 🇬🇧🇺🇸 in other continents either. Liberated nobody. They lack strategy and clear thinking. Such as the military leader, when he met Putin. When he told him that Ukraine was not a country; but a border of USA. How uncivilised. I lived in Kyiv one year and Odessa three. I was a British English language consultant. I also taught in St Petersburg many years before. I left Odessa March 31 last year. As Putin was playing on the borders even then. I went to Alanya Turkey and a great Med Sea climate. My experiences of both nations was this: Ukrainians are kind. Comedic. They have young politicians and TV show presenters. Full of energy, enthusiasm and vitality. They have a pretty democratic outlook; and you won't be arrested for speaking your mind. Russians are seemingly narcissistic, (seems to agree with your vain comment sir!) jealous, boastful people. Generally speaking. Cold and soulless, with little humour; and boringly, miserably, robotic. Generally speaking. Your presentation was very impressive indeed. Thanking you.
