  4. +Matt Perez But it's clearly not the same thing as a grit guard. Rubbing a wash mitt on a grit guard can cause you to stir up the dirt that's accumulated in the bottom of the bucket, and possibly reintroduce it back into the wash mitt.

  5. +Matt Perez Maybe so, but a grit guard sits much closer to the dirt at the bottom of the bucket, so if you're scraping and agitating a wash mitt that close to the dirt, there's probably more of a chance that it could reintroduce the dirt back into the wash mitt. IDK it just seems that the wash board is a better option for getting the dirt to release from a wash mitt.
