@ck9939 so what's your excuse on balance of power within the Supreme Court??? Republicans lead 6 to 3... if Republicans actually cared for balance of power they would have waited after the election to pick a nominee but the rushed it because they wanted a major lead in the Supreme Court. So don't talk to me about checks and balances when we all saw the power hungry Republicans where with the Supreme Court and lets not forget in 2016, they didn't want to pass Obama pick because they said the same thing that the next President should pick the nominee.

@ck9939 yes the judges have a political party. Its required by law for them to say they are gonna be neutral but they always lean with a party. Also if they weren't politically motivated then why didn't congress and Trump wait until after the election to pick a nominee if supposedly judges don't belong to a party? Wouldn't it have been the same thing if Biden or Trump picked a nominee since "they don't belong to either party" like you said. But Trump and Republicans wanted more power and they know Supreme Court judges do side often with the political party that they are which is why they wanted to get a republican Supreme Court Justice in right away in less than a month
