  1. A 'case' is being used to refer to person with a positive test( using a test that is NOT a diagnostic tool), even when there are no symptoms. If these 'cases' are people in hospital, they are referred to as 'covid patients', irrespective of what they are in hospital for (broken limbs, accident wounds, heart trouble, cancer etc), thereby falsely giving the impression that they are in hospital due to covid. Test everyone who is in hospital and, bingo....you have your 'covid patients'.
