The wheels are coming off the Starmer leadership. Laughable to think he is being presented as a Prime Minister in waiting. The party has been so busy quashing the left and brooking no dissent that Gaza is now both a litmus test about the urgent need for a ceasefire and a lightning rod for the wider questions that must surely be raised now about his judgement and leadership credentials both as party manager and putative PM. There needs to be a leadership challenge before the next GE or as soon as possible after it.
