This is the end game of Thatcherism as they try to create Singapore on sea. It is a turning point; either the British accept the deregulation the ideologues seek or reject it. All bets are off.

Starmer is an ineffective Prime Minister in so many ways and the oppposite of what Britain needs but he is making a fool of her every week. She makes a speak your weight machine sound animated and sincere. She had the nerve to speak of arrogance last week, supremely ironic coming from her. The Tories know it, the public can see it and even the Downing Street cat, Larry, knows it. Her soon to be forgotten 'leadership' of the Tory Party is coming to an end.   5. You do not seem to understand that Labour is not on the left. It is a right wing Thatcherite party in thrall to failed neoliberal policies. The left has been purged by the red Tories. Try to keep up with what is going on and while you are at it have a think about the Overton Window and read a bit about the last few decades of UK political history and economics.

A Labour government with a vision for reshaping society and reducing income inequality in the interests of the majority would not be troubled by Reform in the polls but the red Tories have no intention of reversing Thatcherism and implementing the Keynesian tax and spend required to deliver for the majority. Deficit financing and taxing the rich via income, assets and land are the levers that will facilitate the change needed. Failure to do so ( no spoiler alert required) will be judged as yet another historical error of epic proportions just like the rest since 1945. That said, the polls are nonsense unless the public has truly lost its mind- Thatcherism and never ending demonising of immigrants is not the answer to anything. First past the post is now also favouring the anti Tory vote. Farage will not be Prime Minister, a bit of good news for the weekend.
