  1. What difference does it make? None. This is a Conservative voting country ( most of the last 120 years) wedded to neoliberal economics that fails the majority who still vote for it. No-one stops to ask why other capitalist countries manage to have a greater role for the state, wealthy businesses, rich individuals and higher wages without the grotesque levels of inequality exemplified by the proliferation of food banks in the last decade. Even when Johnson has left office the circus will continue with both parties committed to policies that continue to serve the rich at the expense of the majority.
