French people study philosophy and therefore are able to reason and argue a case. Imagine it being taught in the UK except in some private schools. There would be little interest and widespread disengagement from it, a growing and serious problem in many schools. Naturally, no-one is willing to admit it let alone address it because it cannot be due to poor parenting. This is endemic. Britain has the most politically illiterate electorate across all ages this side of North Korea. Wilfully ill informed and invariably proud of it.

@Bertrum123 The lies and deliberate dishonesty is outrageous and daily. It is part of a deliberate and successful strategy to demonise anything that goes against the manufactured neoliberal consensus in order to protect the assets of the rich and avoid scrutiny. Such scrutiny that exists is rendered ineffective. Confusion and distraction are also key elements of the strategy. The left has been very weak in countering the false narratives of the right, especially in the era of so called social media. It is more like anti social media given its pernicious effects.

No point. Labour is Tory and nothing will change. It is too far gone in Britain unless the left ever returns to the leadership of the Labour Party but that is highly unlikely and a once in a generation occurrence. Richard Burgon would make a great leader, but again it will not happen.
