  1. Monarchy should be abolished but an incremental approach is best, in order to build a consensus around it. Not sure how this could be achieved but immediate abolition is probably not practical in the British context of millions who would resist this. Perhaps other countries have models for how it can be done. A slimmed down monarchy in terms of its wealth not just size would be a good start.
