  1. Stamer out, new party needed to represent the workers. Very articulate contribution from the councillor. Far more fluent and committed than many MPs in putting the issues into context.

  2. Well made points. I think it is worse though- he does not care enough, there is no conviction. He was elected on a left ticket of Corbynism without Corbyn ( Corbyn was great and it is one of the worst things in my lifetime that he was not PM) but has gone after the left to suit the right wing media and the establishment. He is leading Labour nowhere. Even if they form a government which is very unlikely tinkering around the edges of the disaster of modern capitalism is not enough. The scale of the various emergencies facing Britain now and in the next twenty years is so grave that only policy prescriptions bold enough to meet the challenges will suffice. It is analogous to World War 2 and its aftermath in terms of the mobilisation of am interventionist state to protect people. Starmer is no Attlee, he is not even Ed Miliband ( who I like and was unfairly traduced). I fear for what is about to unfold in Britain and cannot wait to get out which I fully intend to.
