  1. The work environment in the UK in general is toxic. Countless lives and careers have been destroyed through bullying and nothing is done about it. Colleagues look the other way- no solidarity in most UK workplaces, and victims are on their own. Most unions are weak. Parliament reflects the state of this society and the public has what it deserves.

  3. It is funny but there is no significance in it beyond the theatre of PMQs. I don't actually think she has been that impressive in her contribution to Parliament overall since election- in recent years she has been low profile in the media it seems.

  4.  @jackdubz4247  There is no fools errand. One opinion does not mean everything is seen through the lens of Anglo centric unionism. Presumably, if a supporter of Scottish independence who lives in Scotland expresses an opinion that might be critical of something to do with the SNP or disagree with someone else or something, it does not mean that they are seeing everything through the lens of Anglo centric unionism. I am very well aware of the biased way the English media and establishment frames discussion of the SNP/ Scotland so you can keep the facile point about a fools errand.

  6. @@abitmorerational It has embraced social democracy though in a rejection of neoliberalism that places it to the left of Labour, admittedly not difficult. There are many of its policies that democratic socialists in Labour could happily subscribe to.
